PERFORMING ARTS

Through the private performing arts program at STARS Academy, students develop the skills and the discipline to be intuitive, imaginative creators and observers in all areas of their lives.

The teachers of the arts are also practicing artists; they inspire and challenge their students to participate in the creative process.

Performing Arts events are an integral part of the school's community. Presentations, plays, and performances allow us to celebrate artistic accomplishments.

Each school year, the school will present professional quality productions.

With rich course offerings in both the Performing and Visual Arts, STARS Academy's program is designed to encourage students to challenge themselves and to explore the depth and breadth of the arts.

We provide our students opportunities to highlight their learning in public through family events, presentations, and publications. Our students are empowered to take on responsibility, advocate to affect and create change, and develop a sense of self.

They constantly reflect on their own learning across all subject areas. This extensive reflection lies at the base of cognitive development. It also builds critical thinking skills in children that allow students to examine and make sense of the world.

By nurturing both creative and critical thinking, our private performing arts program provides the tools for students to foster their artistic expression and inspire innovation.
